Hi, I'm Fareess.

I founded a jewelry brand at sixteen, and the part that surprised me was not the design. It was the spreadsheet.

Who bought what, when, and why. Which campaign reached which audience. What the numbers said customers wanted, versus what I hoped they wanted. Running Hush Jewels for four years taught me that a brand is a record-keeping system with good taste, and that the decisions that worked were the ones grounded in honest data.

That lesson led me to Health Information Science, and so did a question of scale. I have enormous respect for clinical work: a nurse or physician helps one patient at a time, and nothing replaces that. But the records, systems, and analytics behind care reach every patient at once. Improve that layer and the improvement multiplies across thousands of people. Biotech, health technology, insurance, and health administration all run on it, and that one-to-many reach is why I chose this path. I study it alongside computer science at the University of Victoria.

I practice it wherever I can. I designed a glucose monitoring prototype to accessibility standards, I run community operations for Women in Engineering & Computer Science, and I keep every project documented well enough for someone else to pick it up.
