Hush Jewels
The jewelry brand I founded at sixteen and ran like a record-keeping system with good taste. Audience analysis, campaign design, a retail partnership, and a British Vogue feature along the way.
The short version
Hush Jewels started as a design project and became a business the moment the first stranger bought something. From then on, every decision had a number attached to it, and the difference between a good month and a bad one was almost always whether I had read those numbers honestly.
Note 1This is the project that taught me what operations actually means: the unglamorous system that decides whether the glamorous thing survives.
The three systems that ran it
Audience analysis. Demographic and engagement data from Instagram and Shopify decided who each campaign spoke to. Campaigns designed for a specific segment consistently outperformed broadcast posts, so broadcast posts stopped.
Campaign design. Everything was graphics-led and produced in-house. Design and analytics were never separate jobs. The analysis chose the audience, and the design was built for that audience alone.
The retail partnership. Going from online-only into a physical store meant wholesale pricing, stock tracking, a second set of records, and negotiating shelf position with sales data in hand.
The Vogue feature
Being selected for British Vogue’s “Jewelry Designer Profile” was the brand’s most visible moment, and internally its least representative one. The feature took a morning. The system that made the brand worth featuring took four years of careful records, and that system is what this case study is about.
Social Media and Brand Direction
I developed Hush Jewels’ social media presence around warm neutral tones, close-up product photography, styling inspiration, and lifestyle content.
The feed combined product images, models, behind-the-scenes moments, and styling references to create a cohesive visual identity while showing customers different ways to wear the jewelry.

Social Media Content Creation
Alongside product photography and brand styling, I created short-form TikTok and Instagram content to make Hush Jewels feel more engaging and current online.
The videos highlighted products, styling ideas, and the personality of the brand in formats designed specifically for short-form social platforms.
Why it’s here
Hush Jewels is the reason this site has its one rule, that every number is real. Small businesses run on self-reported metrics, and I learned to question even my own favorites. Where I can’t state a measurement source, I say so plainly. That habit transfers directly to health data, where it is not a preference but a requirement.
